About

TL;DR I’m just a long-time fan making (I think?) well-designed Federer tees and other things that I would want to wear/use myself.

The year was 2001 (and I was so young… not sure why this needs to be said here but whatevs). My sister called me excitedly to tell me about a young Swiss player who had just beaten Pete Sampras at Wimbledon. “He plays like no one I’ve seen before!”

I thought, at the time, that was a bit of an exaggeration and chalked it up to the tendency of people to gravitate toward something or someone new. A few months later, I caught a glimpse of said young Swiss player on TV at the US Open, and I knew right then that my sister hadn’t exaggerated. This Federer dude is special. I’ve been a fan ever since.

Fast forward to 2018. Journalists and fans have written Federer off for years now, but he is still going strong. Sure, he is no spring chicken, but his drive and passion remain. That seemingly effortless way he dances across the court still enthralls and delights me (and his terrible BP conversion rate still makes me want to pull my hair out).

There’s a lot of fan made Federer merch out there already, I know that, but I think there’s some room for t-shirts and mugs and totes that show our love for Fed in a more, for lack of a better word, designy way. As a designer by day, I figured I would take a shot at making a few things.

Oh yeah, one last thing. What’s More Feder? More + Feder = Federer! Get it? ?
